Salesforce – Mass Reassign Account Teams: Replace an existing account team member with a new team member, or change the role of an existing team member

Organization want to replace existing account team member with the new team members at a time. Using Salesforce, replace a team member on any record that contains that team member.

Setup > Data Management > Mass reassign Account Teams


Select: Replace an existing account team member with a new team member, or change the role of an existing team member > Next

Search for Accounts:
Use the filter to search for the accounts for which you want to replace existing team member with new team member. You can set the information to display in each column of the list.

You can see that the list of columns selected in the previous step are displayed in the step 3 (select accounts). Select the desired accounts for which you want to replace team members.

Replace or change the role of an existing account team member:
Existing Team Member: User/Partner User and select the current user.
Replacement Team member: Select User/Partner User and then select the desired user.
Replacement Team Role: Select the role for the team which we had created in Account Team Roles.
Account Access: Read/Write
Contact Access: Read Only
Opportunity Access: Read/Write
Case Access: Read/Write
Select the following options as desired.
Reassign all open activities owned by the existing team member to the replacement team member
Reassign all open opportunities owned by the existing team member to the replacement team member
Reassign all open cases owned by the existing team member to the replacement team member
Reassign all contacts owned by the existing team member to the replacement team member
Replace
Done

We have replaced the account team member from channel manager to account manager with the user displayed in the related list.
